Onboarding Your Church with TheFaithApp

**Step 1: Admin Account Setup**\
Begin by creating your church’s dedicated account via **TheFaithApp Admin Dashboard**. This centralized hub allows you to manage your congregation’s digital experience.

**Step 2: Mobile App Deployment**\
Download **TheFaithApp** from the [Apple App Store](https://link/) or [Google Play Store](https://link/) and share the installation instructions with your congregation. Ensure seamless access by guiding members to use the app for all church-related content.

**For Congregation Members:**

* **New Users**: Open the app, register with your details, and select your church from the directory.
* **Church Search**: Can’t find your church? Use the built-in search functionality to locate and subscribe to your congregation’s profile.

**Step 3: Content Management & Distribution**\
Once your admin account is active:

1. Upload sermons, event calendars, newsletters, or worship materials directly through the dashboard.
2. Organize content into categories (e.g., “Weekly Sermons,” “Prayer Groups”) for easy navigation.
3. Publish updates instantly—your congregation will see the changes reflected in real time on their mobile app.

# Realtime Chat

Description of the chat feature.

In the chat we have Manage Channels, Chat room, Moderation, Analytics and Invitations.<br>

### Manage Channels

In the Manage channel page. This is where channels are created, these channels are categorized into 3 types;

&#x20;`Public`  which means anyone who is part of the church will be eligible to join the channel and then receive and send messages.

&#x20;`Direct Messages`  means the channel is created by the admin and the admin chooses the church member that he/she wants to message.

&#x20;`Private`  means that the admin can create the channel and the can invite other admins and church members to join so that the interactions are limited to only the channel members.\ <br>

Once you have created channels, in the chat room is where the admin is able to view the chat room and also join as well.\ <br>

In that chat page the admin is able to view the messages sent from either another admin or a church member.

### Moderation

In the moderation page, the admin is able to act as a content moderator in the various channel chats to either delete the messages and also ban/unban users.\

In this page is where you send invitations to either another admin or a church member to join a private channel that has been created.\

# Add Push Notifications

Enable push notifications for devotionals

Incase you want to send push notifications to church members so that they are able to be\
notified of a new uploaded devotional.<br>

First thing first head over to `Settings >  Devotional Notifications`\
You be presented with options to define the default time that the push notifications will be sent. There is also allocation to choose the timezone to consider.&#x20;

* **View Profiles**: See essential details like account creation dates and subscription status (editing/deleting is restricted to protect member privacy).

# Import Members

How to bring your church members data in the platform in your church account

Church admins that would love to import details of their church members into the platform.\
In the members page click the `Import Members` button and you'll be brought to a page to start the import process<br>

There 4 steps in the import process.\
Step 1 is where you upload your members data. We provide a sample file to guide you with the format of how the data is supposed to be organized.

After uploading the file in step 1, you click the next button to be brought to the page to map the csv columns to the respective columns provided.\ <br>

In after you have mapping the required columns and also the optional ones if need be, then click next step.<br>

In this page validation is carried out on the data uploaded to ensure that the data is clean. Incase of errors we let you know.\
Then after you have seen that there is no error then confirm that these are the items that you want to import.\

In step 4 is where the import takes place and we'll provide a progress bar to show the status of the import.<br>

### Emails Sent

For every member imported, we'll send to them an email containing their credentials and also the link to download TheFaithApp and also some littler instructions.\ <br>

Incase you have made an error, you can undo the imports.\

# Outreach Campaigns

Offer a way to setup campaigns that your congregation can give to.

Outreach campaigns offers a way for the church receive item and cash donation for specific campaigns that have been created by the church.

### Creating a campaign

On the side menu, click the `Outreach Campaign` option in the menu.

You'll be presented with a table where you'll be able to view all of your campaigns.

Click on the `Create Campaign` button

Insert the name of the campaign, the description so that the donors can see what they are giving to plus more details about the campaign.\

### Add Items to Campaigns

After creating the campaign, then you click the icon on the actions with 4 squares<br>

### Finalize the Campaign setup

In the campaigns table, click on the eye icon to take you to the campaign details.&#x20;

In the campaign details page, you be able to view how the campaigns details page would look like to the donor.<br>

You can also edit the campaign so that you decide whether to accept items only or also cash donations.\ <br>

You decide to make it active or not. Place a time range incase there exists one for the campaign. It's all according to your preference.

### Manage Donations

Once you have started receiving donations. Be it cash or item donations, we have provided a donation management page.

You click on the outreach table page to go to it

The page will show you the donations as they come in. It will show you who has donated cash and those that have pledged to bring items.

For those that have donate cash, they get charged from the checkout page for their donation

For those that pledge items, we have provided a way for the admin to update alongside their pledge incase the items have been received by the church.

when they choose to make donation, they can decide whether they want to donate an item or cash.<br>

When they donate an item, they choose the item and quantity to donate according to the listed amount.

Then the campaign progress updates the figures and also indicates the donor as one who has pledged. When their items are received but the church, then it will be updated to donated.

For donors that choose to pay cash donations, they will place an amount and will be taken to make payment\ <br>

   * **Full Name**: Enter the administrator’s first and last name.
   * **Email**: Use a valid email address for login and notifications.
   * **Password**: Set a secure temporary password (admins can reset later).
3. **Save & Notify**:
   * The new admin will receive instructions to access the dashboard.
